On Sunday, August 3, we celebrated Camp Sunday!
Campers, Counselors, Cooks, Musicians and the Pastor, who had all spent the previous week at Glacier Bible camp, showed up in their yellow Rejoice in the Lord! T-shirts, and used camp experiences and songs to provide the second reading, the children's sermon (Hurray for the Hippo Song!)...they talked about their experience for the message, led the congregation in the camp theme song (Rejoice in the Lord Always) for the sermon hymn, and provided special music during communion.
In addition, the sanctuary was decorated with hangings and banners from camp.
It was great!
