Building updates: Hurray! The sewer pipe under the front parking lot has been replaced! Many thanks to Dan Squires and Bob Mosley for their coordination and oversight of this project! This  was a major, critical project, and a major reflection of stewardship of resources. The original pipe was old, degrading, and occluded, and RLC regularly had to call in plumbers to snake out obstructions. The new pipe is wide and clear and should provide many years of free-flowing service! We are flush with delight!

Tattoo Stories Update: Eleven people gathered in the fellowship area to talk about tattoos on Sunday evening, June 5. Of those eleven people, only one actually had any tattoos! But there was a wonderful atmosphere of sharing, curiosity, and laughter as all kinds of stories were told…about tattoos in the room, tattoos that decorated the bodies of friends and families, tattoos that someone might get someday, and reasons people have decided against getting a tattoo (and not just because it hurts!)…tattoos that reflect who we are, what are experiences have been, people we want to remember, tattoos that give us courage, that remind us of our choices…tattoos that cause regret and tattoos that are just fun, or pretty, or silly. It was an incredible night…a night that was described as “one of the most unique, unexpected, and welcoming” by a participant. Another story night is in the works!
